Every municipality, city, and province is aiming to get the Seal of Good Local Governance award given by the Department of Interior and Local Government. This most prestigious award has set the local government units to a different level of public service. Not only that Quinapondan was able to achieve this award but it is also the LONE awardee of SGLG for the whole Province of Eastern Samar.
The SGLG is the highest recognition and the most prestigious award given by the DILG in the delivery of public service through compliance with pertinent national laws and guidelines.
LGU-QUINAPONDAN has passed all ten governance areas namely: Good Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Safety, Peace and Order, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, Environmental Management, Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture and the Arts, Sustainable Education, Health Compliance and Responsiveness and Youth Development.
We hope to maintain the award not only for this year 2023 but for the next coming years because it is proof of excellent leadership. Not only that, but SGLG also comes with 5 Million pesos incentives which can be used to deliver more social and economic services to its constituents.
