Motocross is a passion for dirt bikers and Quinapondan is up to that because every year, the LGU holds motocross event to grace the feast of St. Nicholas de Tolentine every September 10 of each year. The motocross race track is located in Brgy. Sta. Cruz, this municipality.
Last year was the second 2-day motocross competition and has these categories: Underbone Open, Underbone Local, Underbone Newbie on the first day. On the second day was the Beginners Production, Expert Production, Executive 40ʼs – 50ʼ, Open Enduro and Ladies. It was participated by motocross enthusiasts from different parts of the province and cities as far as Tacloban City and Ormoc Ciy.
The off-road competition originated in Great Britain in the mid-1920s and the sport of motocross racing has grown into a worldwide entertainment especially for extreme sports enthusiasts. LGU Quinapondan motocross racing is always supported by our beloved Municipal Mayor Raffy Asebias, Vice Mayor Leo Jasper Candido, SB MEMBERS and Chairman on Sports Committee Hon. Glydel Gahoy.
