LGU-QUINAPONDAN has undergone a SGLG Regional Assessment last May 17, 2023, at the SB SESSION HALL of the municipal building. The group of validators namely: MR. JERRY ENRIQUEZ, MS. MARIA LYNEE MEDINA, MS. ERLINDA GAJOL, MS. DIONESIA MARIE APURA, and MS. JINNAH MAE LORBIO have intensively scrutinized the papers submitted by the ten governance areas namely: Good Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Safety, Peace and Order, Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Environmental Management, Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture and the Arts, Sustainable Education, Health Compliance and Responsiveness and Youth Development.
The group even visited the LGU facilities to thoroughly examine if they met the standards set by the DILG for the SGLG Assessment. The SGLG is the highest recognition and the most prestigious award given by the Department of Interior and Local Government.
Everyone was tensed and feeling anxious during the feedback-giving but fortunately, all indicators have passed. Still, there were minor improvements in preparation for the NATIONAL SGLG Assessment which will take place soon.
LGU QUINAPONDAN was the LONE SGLG AWARDEE in the whole province of Eastern Samar last year, 2022 and we are positive that we can still make it this year, 2023. Congratulations to the Department Heads of each governance areas, staff, Job-Order Employees, Mayor Rafael S. Asebias, Vice-Mayor Leo Jasper Candido, and all SB MEMBERS for a job well done!
