The Municipality of Quinapondan concluded its week-long 77th Founding Anniversary celebration on October 17, 2023 with a dazzling Culmination Night that marks a significant milestone in the development of the Municipality of Quinapondan as they featured the Inauguration and Turn-over of the much-anticipated FY 2022 SGLG- Incentive Fund Project: New Public Park with Water Feature.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Atty. Darwin N. Bibar, Assistant Regional Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 8. Also in attendance were PD Johannes Y. Dorado, CH Jerry A. Enriquez, Engr. Jesus Jeremy D. Bagares, and MLGOO Niña B. Servano.
The highlight of the evening was the acceptance of the Municipal Public Park by the LGU Officials, led by the dynamic Mayor Atty. Rafael S. Asebias, Hon. Vice-Mayor Leo Jasper M. Candido, and the dedicated Members of the Sangguniang Bayan. The park promises to be a recreational haven for the residents, enhancing the overall beauty of Quinapondan. LGU Quinapondan as the lone awardee in the Province of Eastern Samar during the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance promotes and showcases a place for people to experience nature, engage in physical activity, and relax. Through this project, tourism, socioeconomic factors, safety, peace and order will be the pride of the community.
Adding a vibrant touch to the celebration was the Dance Sport Competition, a commendable initiative by the Municipal Tourism Office to foster the talents of the youth in the world of dance sports. The competition showcased the incredible skills of elementary and secondary students, bringing an exciting atmosphere to the event.
