Adding another layer to its legacy of excellence, LGU Quinapondan has clinched the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) prestigious SEAL OF GOOD LOCAL GOVERNANCE (SGLG) for the second consecutive year. In 2022, LGU Quinapondan stood as the sole awardee for the entire province, a remarkable testament to its commitment to outstanding governance practices. Fast forward to 2023, LGU Quinapondan finds itself in esteemed company as one of the three municipalities in Eastern Samar to clinch the prestigious SGLG. Joining the ranks of success alongside LGU Quinapondan are the municipalities of Arteche and Sulat. They also received an Incentive Fund Subsidy in the amount of 1.8 million pesos.
Following an arduous process of rigorous regional and national validation across ten governance areas, LGU Quinapondan emerged victorious, solidifying its reputation as a beacon of good governance in the province of Eastern Samar. The award is a recognition of the town’s exceptional leadership, collaboration, cooperation, and a steadfast commitment to the principles of governance. Mayor Atty. Rafael S. Asebias has played a pivotal role in steering LGU Quinapondan towards success. His visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare of the community have been instrumental in achieving this milestone. Vice-Mayor Leo Jasper Candido, along with the dedicated members of the Sangguniang Bayan, department heads, and both regular and Job Order employees, have contributed significantly to the town’s accomplishments. The remarkable achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of the town’s employees, who have once again proven their commitment to excellence.
