With 460 hectares of land devoted to rice farming, about 283.25 hectares properly irrigated while 158.35 hectares are rain fed and 18.30 hectares are dedicated to upland rice farming, Quinapondan is considered the Rice Granary in the southern part of Eastern Samar
Registered farmers can avail of hybrid rice seeds and high quality inbreed rice seeds from the Dept. Of Agriculture.
With the support of our Municipal Mayor Atty. Rafael S. Asebias, representatives from DA RFO8 MR. LEO CAÑEDA, the Provincial Agriculturist Mr. Virgilio C. Capon who represented Gov. Ben Evardone, the untiring office personnel of MAO headed by Municipal Agriculturist Engr. Jaime Abit, the distribution ran as smoothly as possible.
